Our top priority is to eliminate your toothache or trauma as quickly as possible. Second is to save your tooth, if it’s restorable. As we work to get you out of pain through immediate treatment or an interim therapy, we’ll also create a long-term plan to help you maintain optimal oral wellness.

While Dr. Danis treats all forms of dental emergencies, some of the most common scenarios we see in our Oshawa dentist’s office include:

We Can See You Right Away
 
Oshawa Dental House is always ready for a dental emergency, even when you aren’t. We have an extra assistant on staff for walk-in emergencies, so that we can accommodate urgent situations as quickly as possible. Here, emergency needs come first. Although we highly value the time of each of our patients, other appointments will be adjusted to accommodate someone who is in pain. As long as our doors are open, we can see you on the same day.
 
Same Day Treatments
 
Depending on the type of emergency you’re dealing with and what the best treatment option is, Dr. Danis can begin your treatment on the same day. If you need something more complex such as a root canal or crown, we can provide a temporary treatment or initiate the first phase of your procedure to get you on the right track.
 
What to do During a Dental Emergency
 
First, call our Oshawa dentist to let us know you’re on the way. If there is any bleeding, apply firm pressure. An anti-inflammatory can be taken to minimize swelling or discomfort. Broken or knocked-out teeth should be stored in milk or saline.
 
Always Available to Take Your Call
 
If you’re experiencing a dental emergency after-hours, simply call our office. Dr. Danis’ number is included on our recording, so that you can get a hold of us outside the normal business day. That way if it’s truly an emergency and you need immediate assistance, we can consult you on what to do next. It may be that Dr. Danis calls in a medication to tide you over until you can get to our office the next business day. Otherwise, you can leave a message and someone will return your call when we’re back in the office.

Our office accepts all health plans as well as disability and government benefits. Depending on the extent of your care needs and coverage, we can break payments up as necessary.
